Last time I blogged which was...oh, EASTER I said I would keep this l'il online mofo up-to-date. Now, I don't want to say I lied because that's not a nice thing to do. Let's just say I forgot, 'cause I did. Oopsy.
On to newer blogging pastures. A lot has happened since Easter most of it involved a couple of tours but I'll get to that later.
I've moved into my new pad....and actually in the last coupla week have literally "moved" stuff around so that I'm not still unpacking boxes as I'm looking for thi
ngs! ha! It's no secret that I'm no tidy freak but I CAN'T stand this disorder so am still working on it and hopefully will have all things at some level of organisation by the time this year's Hallowe'en partay comes along. If you're not on facebook and feel you should have been invited hit me up, anyone that should be invited should know how to get me! Oh, on the topic of All Hallow's Eve whoever brings me an Elvis Presley carved Jack-O-Lantern will get a personal ass-kissin' from me! I SO want one. It's been a while since I've managed to have a H/Ween soiree and this year is combining with my Housewarming as I was too lazy to organise one of those. Two birds, one stone. Huzzah. I'm trying to get a hold of this l'il dude to help me out hosting, I think he's my child but I'm not sure exactly where he came from!

In light of recent events at the 2009 VMAs I would like to say that Kanye West is a complete idiot. I understand the boy downed a bottle of Hennessy, we've all been drunk but what he did made him look like the scum of the earth. Taylor Swift will NEVER get that moment back, apology or no apology! Piece of shit. Have to also say that I watched Beyonce's award acceptance and give her MASSIVE kudos for what she did, all class. Absolutely fantastic. A1! Also, just for shits & giggles imma say HOW CUUUUUTE did Carey & P!nk look on the red carpet before P!nk kicked the shit out of the award performances!!? (That's rhetorical, people!) While I think her hair left a lot to be desired (bed-head didn't cover it) as a couple they looked great. Kinda cut she didn't get the moonman but competition was HARD!! Also, one more VMA feature....I nearly WET myself when P!nk rocked up in the same Balmain dress as Mz Shakira! Someone's ass is gonna get ROASTED for that! Uh Oh!

Because it's funny in so many ways. It's funny 'cause Kanye's a dick and it's pokes fun at his dickiness, it's funny 'cause it's got a spelling mistake in it that I can't be fucked fixing but mostly it's funny 'cause we all know that if it had been P!nk up there that Kayne busted in on his ass would have been so whipped you could have iced a cake with it and that's only by P!nk herself, Carey would have opened a whole new can of whoop-ass up on him! HA!

Reading: I am currently reading chick-lit (careful not to say that fast) in the form of My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I'm finding it not a far cry (no pun intended) from the movie which I saw recently but far enough that it makes me want to keep reading in that it's that weeee bit different. It's a good book, I'm gonna keep going with it.
Regarding my last post and "Dreams from my Father" by Barack Obama: I actually lost the plot with that book....it seemed to lose motivation or I lost motivation in it, either way I began to find him increasingly small-minded while he was in college. I believe that if I had kept going I would have seen him grow more etc but I got stuck and couldn't get passed it so gave up. I will attempt it again but not at the moment. I have to say, it's no "My Life" and he's no Bill Clinton.
Watching: Nothing, television is still fucked. Although I did have a short moment there mid last month where I was back to TV for a while, I got bored and thought there might be something worth watching. I'm over that thought now.
Movies: Last movie I saw at the cinema was My Sister's Keeper. Go see it, it's actually quite good and although I didn't cry I would recommend you take a tissue with you. If you're a crier take a box, it's sad from minute one.
DVDs: "The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas," while I was SLIGHTLY disappointed in the ending it was a good WWII movie with underlying "friendship beats everything" and "children see the best in people" tones. Recommended. "Confessions of Shopaholic" try NOT to see this one, I fell asleep. While me falling asleep watching movies is common I actually fell asleep ON PURPOSE during this one.
Listening: Well, there has been a fair amount of Live P!nk going on in my ears recently but Ipod & CD-wise I've been a LOT about Kelly Clarkson recently, girl's got pipes, she's cute, wholesome..gotta love her. Also have to give Hol props for her choice in homies.....Flo Rida's last two singles are killer, the album is definitely worth a listen the boy's a good Christian who get's down...just like me. haha. It's actually been ALL about the R&B & rap this week! Ya-ha, Fiddy's in the house! NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN my lovely 
lovely lovely Juliette Lewis' new album is now out, if you haven't heard anything from Terra Incognito may a plague of locusts appear on your house because she is sensational.I have had a long love affair with JL, it's around 20 years now, true love for sure. Check this out, her latest interview with Nylon - FUCK, I LOVE HER. She better get her ass back here PRONTO!
Gigs: Well, as predictable as it was Her Highness Alecia Moore, Queen P!nk of Australia has been and gone and kicked the ASS out of this country. She has broken every Australian record a recording artist can possibly break THEN SOME! Safe to say I was at a number of her shows and I can honestly say that 95% of them were absolutely outstanding. I will probably write a post solely about tour at some point soon 'cause if I write about it now I'm likely to give myself carpal tunnel typing. Although, I will take the time now to say a big thanks to all the peeps that made tour so much fun: The PAW crew, all of y'all for a LOT of laughs, thanks to Shez for the Tena....moments. Jamie & Derek I had SO much fucking fun with you guys, just wish it could be longer. Mark Schulman you are forever a massive inspiration, keep kicking the ass out of it and travel safe! Carey Hart you are an absolute gentleman, thank you for your time & for the kick ass tour and to your wife, P!nk, thank you for the memories, the smiles, the laughs and the music - what a pleasure it has been.
Most of all I want to thank Holly for being the best camp-buddy I could ever ask for.

Also gig-wise, while I don't want to talk about it I feel I hate to....I am ABSOLUTELY CUT that Jane's Addiction cancelled the Australian leg of their tour, I was SO fucking excited to be seeing them! I get that Perkins was quarantined due to his injury but MAAAANNNNNN was I disappointed, here's to the living up to what Dave said and gettin' their asses over here asap!
RIP: Aunty Margaret, God Bless. Michael Jackson – genius never dies. DJ AM, taken too young. Farrah Fawcett – Goodnight, Angel. Patrick Swayze – so, so sad, his characters were such a HUGE part of my childhood. Dirty Dancing has SO many memories for me I can’t even begin to think about not having that movie growing up, Ghost – ‘nuff said, Point Break, a Bodi quote says it for that one:
